Focus and Scope
Nusantara Journal of Multidisciplinary Informatics (NJOMI) publishes research that advances informatics across disciplinary and application boundaries. Every submission must make a clear contribution to computing, information science, data, software, intelligent systems, or the responsible use of digital technology.
Core areas include:
- Computer science, algorithms, software engineering, and information systems;
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, analytics, and knowledge representation;
- Cybersecurity, privacy, digital trust, and digital forensics;
- Human-computer interaction, user experience, accessibility, and data visualization;
- Networks, cloud and edge computing, Internet of Things, and intelligent embedded systems;
- Health, education, business, government, social, agricultural, and environmental informatics;
- Digital transformation, knowledge management, decision support, and technology governance; and
- Computational methods and cross-disciplinary applications with a substantive informatics contribution.
NJOMI welcomes Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Systematic Literature Reviews, Case Studies, Short Communications, Conceptual Papers, and Applied Informatics Reports. Manuscripts should present a well-defined research question, sound and transparent methods, credible evidence or evaluation, and appropriate ethical, privacy, security, and data statements.
Outside the scope: purely descriptive domain studies with no informatics contribution; routine use of common software or digital tools without a research question or meaningful evaluation; and manuscripts whose principal contribution is unrelated to computing or information science.
