Peer Review Process

NJOMI uses a structured peer-review workflow before final acceptance. Submissions are first screened by the editorial office to check scope, ethical compliance, formatting readiness, and minimum quality standards.

For most manuscript categories, the review mode is double-anonymous and assignments are handled as peer review evaluations.

Typical flow:

  1. Editorial screening: editor checks fit with scope, plagiarism concerns, and completeness.
  2. Reviewer invitation and review: selected reviewers assess originality, methodology, methods, analysis, and interpretation.
  3. Editorial decision: based on reviewer reports and editors' judgment.
  4. Revision and publication decision: revision, acceptance, or rejection is communicated to the author.

Authors can expect peer-review turnaround around 4 weeks per review round, with updates shown in their submission dashboard.

This process is designed to support transparent, fair, and responsible scholarship before each article is published.
