Welcome to NJOMI
Nusantara Journal of Multidisciplinary Informatics (NJOMI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Yocto Brain. NJOMI provides an international platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and professionals to publish rigorous work that advances informatics across disciplinary and application boundaries.
The journal focuses on the design, development, evaluation, governance, and responsible use of data, software, information systems, intelligent systems, and digital technologies. NJOMI particularly welcomes studies that connect computing and information science with real-world needs in education, health, business, government, society, agriculture, the environment, engineering, and other fields.
Aims and Scope
NJOMI welcomes original and methodologically sound contributions in areas including, but not limited to:
- Computer science, software engineering, and information systems;
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and analytics;
- Cybersecurity, privacy, digital trust, and digital forensics;
- Human-computer interaction, user experience, accessibility, and visualization;
- Networks, cloud and edge computing, the Internet of Things, and intelligent embedded systems;
- Health, education, business, government, social, agricultural, and environmental informatics;
- Digital transformation, knowledge management, and decision-support systems; and
- Computational methods and multidisciplinary applications with a clear informatics contribution.
Submissions must articulate a substantive informatics or computing contribution, use appropriate and transparent methods, and provide credible evidence or evaluation. Studies that merely use common digital tools without a research question, technical contribution, or meaningful evaluation are outside the journal’s scope.
Types of Articles
NJOMI considers Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Systematic Literature Reviews, Case Studies, Short Communications, Conceptual Papers, and Applied Informatics Reports. All manuscripts must be original, relevant to the journal’s scope, methodologically sound, ethically responsible, and prepared according to the NJOMI Author Guidelines.
Peer-Review Process
All submissions undergo editorial screening for scope, originality, academic quality, methodological adequacy, ethical compliance, data and privacy considerations, and formatting readiness. Manuscripts that pass screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject experts through a double-anonymous peer-review process. The final decision is based on reviewer recommendations, author revisions, and the responsible editor’s assessment.
Open Access and Copyright
NJOMI provides immediate open access to all published articles. Authors retain copyright and grant NJOMI a non-exclusive right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
Publication Ethics
NJOMI is committed to integrity, transparency, accountability, reproducibility, research ethics, data integrity, privacy, security, responsible artificial-intelligence use, and fair peer review. Authors, editors, and reviewers must comply with all applicable journal policies.
Call for Papers
NJOMI invites high-quality manuscripts that make a clear informatics contribution and connect computing, information, or digital systems with challenges across disciplines.
Prospective authors should review the Focus and Scope, Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics, and Submission Checklist before submitting through the NJOMI online system.
